Here’s how you do cheap school trips with public transport.

School’n’Rail makes cheap school trips possible – be it an excursion, the annual school trip, or a camp. If you use public transport for your class outing, you can save money both on the journey and at your destination. The Day Pass for Schools and the group ticket offer you heavily discounted travel options for school classes and their escorts. Combine your ticket with an SBB RailAway school trip offer and benefit from additional attractive discounts on the school rate for popular excursion destinations across the whole of Switzerland.

30% discount with the group ticket.

Snow sports ticket for CHF 10 per person, travel to and from the camp.

Benefit from a discount of up to 30% on selected offers.

For example the RailAway school trip hit ‘School’n’Rail Papiliorama’. If you travel there by public transport in the low season (1 January to 30 April 2026 and 1 October to 31 December 2026) you will receive a 30% discount on the school rate for admission to Papiliorama, and in the peak season (1 May to 30 September 2026) a 10% discount.
