Northern Lights. 26 January to 25 May 2025
The ‘Northern Lights’ exhibition features almost 80 landscapes painted between 1880 and 1930 by Scandinavian and Canadian artists, including Hilma af Klint and Edvard Munch. These works are inspired by the boreal forest, offering a spiritual vision of this vast landscape. The light of endless summer days, long winter nights and the Northern Lights have inspired a distinctly Nordic style of modern painting. This is the first time that a collection of this kind has been exhibited in Europe, highlighting artists who are often unknown to the public.
