Take the cable car and chairlift to the mountain world of Cardada Cimetta, Locarno’s local mountain, for leisurely walks or challenging mountain hikes to the surrounding peaks. There’s also a walking trail, orienteering, reflexology path, treasure hunt, geocaching, photo spot, #swingtheworld swing, viewing platform and geological observation station, from which you can see both the lowest (Lake Maggiore) and the highest points (Dufourspitze, Monte Rosa) in Switzerland.

Please note: the Day Pass for Schools is valid only for the journey to Locarno and by bus to the Orselina, Stazione Funivia stop. The Day Pass for Schools is not valid for the funicular railway, the cable car or the chairlift.
Outward journey: to Locarno according to the online timetable, then take the funicular to Orselina and the valley station of the cableway.
Outward journey: to Locarno and further by bus line 3 to Orselina, Stazione Funivia bus stop, according to the online timetable.
We recommend that you book early – ideally two weeks before you start your journey.

The chairlift is suitable for people with minor walking difficulties, but not for people in wheelchairs.
