Unspoilt nature in the heart of the Jungfrau region.

Nostalgia, fantastic views and alpine flora: the Schynige Platte awaits you.

The cogwheel railway, which first opened in 1893, will take you from Wilderswil to the Schynige Platte. Once you get there, the incredible dreamlike view of the mountains opens up before you. The easy-going ‘Naturkino’ circular trail connects some especially picturesque viewpoints and you can also admire some 800 different plants from the Alps in the Botanical Alpine Garden. The Schynige Platte also has plenty for little ones to do, as this is the home of Lily the cow. The mascot accompanies guests on a treasure hunt and on the alpine playground just next to the mountain hotel.
