Nostalgia, fantastic views and alpine flora: the Schynige Platte awaits you.
The cog railway, which first opened in 1893, will take you from Wilderswil to the Schynige Platte. Here you can enjoy the dreamlike views of the mountain scenery. This is particularly impressive from the Schynige Platte Skywalk, which offers a spectacular vista of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The easy-going “Naturkino” circular trail connects particularly picturesque vantage points and in the Botanical Alpine Garden, you can admire around 800 different mountain plants from the Alpine region. The Schynige Platte also has plenty for the little ones to do, as this is the home of Lily, the cow. The mascot accompanies guests on a treasure hunt and on the Alpine playground just next to the mountain hotel.
