The almost perfect pyramid formed by Niesen makes it one of the most striking mountains in the Bernese Oberland.
Enjoy a train journey on the nostalgic Niesenbahn, dating back to 1910, indulge in culinary delights at Berghaus Niesen Kulm, built in 1856, and a unique mountain panorama or a mystical world of clouds. You can reach the summit, some 2,362 metres above sea level, in around 30 minutes by funicular. The funicular railway is just next to Mülenen station (request stop).
