Discover the everyday life of Roman legionaries in the open air.
Vindonissa is the only Roman legionary camp in present-day Switzerland. In 15 BC, Roman soldiers built a 20-hectare military camp at the strategic confluence of the Aare, Reuss and Limmat rivers. Today, Vindonissa is a multifaceted extracurricular learning centre for school classes, with exciting workshops and playful tours examining the everyday lifves of the Roman legionaries.
