How to book a RailAway school trip.
RailAway school trips combine outward and return travel by public transport with a discounted ticket for an excursion destination, for example, admission to a museum. Below, you can find all the key information you need to easily book school trip offers and school trip hits from SBB RailAway.
For the journey on public transport, you can choose between the Day Pass for Schools for CHF 15 or the group ticket.
Day Pass for Schools. Take advantage of the flat-rate fare of CHF 15 per person for the Day Pass for Schools. The price applies to all participants from 6 to under 25 years old. For every eight children/young persons, a maximum of two accompanying adults can travel at the same price. To benefit from the Day Pass for Schools, you must book your school trip at least two working days before departure.
You can buy the Day Pass for Schools:
Via the online order form (if your school trip is taking place at least seven working days after the order).
At a staffed public transport point of sale.
From the SBB Contact Center on 0848 44 66 88 (CHF 0.08/min.).
Group tickets.
You can also buy a group ticket for your school trip, which gives all group members a 30% discount on the journey by public transport. However, this is only worthwhile if the outward and return journeys together cost less than CHF 15.
You can buy group tickets:
At a staffed public transport point of sale.

When you book a RailAway school trip, all passengers benefit from up to 30% off the school rate for admission.
For most school trips, you need to book in advance to visit the destination. If you book the offer or the trip via the ticket counter, we will take care of the registration for you. To avoid duplication, we ask teachers not to register or book directly with the partner themselves.
Buy tickets for the excursion destination:
